LA VECCHIA NAPOLI

In Naples there are over 200 pedestrian paths, consisting of 135 stairs and 69 steps. In Naples, there is "the longest pedestrian street in Italy" without the knowledge of its inhabitants. Starting from the square of the Certosa di San Martino (hill of Vomero), the path winds along the Pedamentina stairs, leads to Corso Vittorio Emanuele, to take the Montesanto staircase up to the pedestrian (more or less) streets of Pignasecca. which will lead to Spaccanapoli (Via Benedetto Croce and via San Biagio dei Librai) and finally to the Duomo. You go up instead, when you go along the Moiariello, also called by the Neapolitans "the Posillipo dei poveri" for the panoramic views that it offers on the gulf. The steps of the "small bushel" link the real Botanical Garden of via Foria to the Royal Palace of Capodimonte and its museum (site of the splendid Flagellation of Caravaggio).

LA NAPOLI MASSONICA

Condensate of baroque-rococcò, the Pharmacy of the Incurables is part of the ancient hospital of the Reame. The place is considered an example of the eighteenth-century Neapolitan architecture although it is part of the complex of the ancient sixteenth-century spezieria of the Ospedale degli Incurabili. There are two main protagonists of the spaces: the majolica and the wooden shelves - worked by artisans of the time who took care of the carpentry and the golden stuccos. To these elements are added the ampoules, in 66 niches, which still retain residues of pharmaceutical products. In the reported "drugs" we find ingredients and preparations that refer to alchemical and esoteric beliefs.
